No pressure then...

So if I ever think about not doing this blog I know two or three people who will be up in arms because today I met some 'always read it first thing in the morning before we do anything else' peeps - our newbie Stalkers Carole Venner and her husband Paul.

We have been 'friends' on the internet for a little while now but never actually met so today was the day and what a delight it was to make their acquaintance albeit rather briefly.  Big thanks too for the cat treats and the gin - especially the gin which I am going to secrete away and consume next week when John goes back to the UK with his mum and I can recover after THE PARTY.

It was so good to be able to meet at last and how strange then that although Carole and Paul live in Eastbourne her sister lives in Yeovil!  We spent a very companionable couple of hours under the gazebo before it was time for them to leave - they return to the UK on Saturday but hopefully they will be back and we can spend some proper quality time with them showing them the places we have been talking about.  We just know that they would get on well with Rob and Di - Paul is a football man - supporter of Chelsea so at least not Man Utd thank god!

So after Carole and Paul left (hopefully going via the Winery at Vasillikon which was their intention) we got John's mum crafting again as my mum took a shine to the coasters Janet had decorated. She isn't going to thank me for this photograph but if you have ever wondered what pure concentration looks like then this is it!!!  I shall be putting a box of goodies together for her to take back with her (suitcase room and weight allowance dependent) so that she can continue with her 'crafting' at home with her friend Jacky.

It was a rare stay at home day and do nothing.  Jane and John arrive later today and we are taking Kenny down tomorrow for them to use for the week.  After today the following week is going to be a bit of a blur and before we know it John's mum's four and a half weeks will be over and John's birthday will have been and gone and all the fretting and the arguments will have been forgotten.  I know I say it every time we have a bit of a 'do' but this time is most definitely going to be the last!
