Swimming!!!!!  We are still doing it and to prove that we do it properly here are some videos showing that we don't just dip our toes in, we do actually swim - maybe not for long but actually, all joking aside, it really isn't so bad!!  However with the weather forecast not looking so good this week we reckon we may only manage until the end of October and then will have to call it a day.

The weather has already begun to change.  Today when we picked up Di to go to pickleball there were the most amazing cloud formations - I always say when I see a sky like that, if I were to paint it exactly so, people would say it was unrealistic.  Unrealistic it might seem but that was how it was today.  The stormy weather is on its way and hopefully it will be brief so that we have good weather for our Drouseians Day out on Thursday when we are having a trip to the Zoo - John and I have never been and whilst I am uncertain exactly how I feel about these establishments if they are used as centres for breeding to increase the population of certain animals then fair enough.

We played pickleball this afternoon - it was a good natured session with a lot of laughs and afterwards Mum, Di and I visited Swanky Wags which has moved into Emba just down the road from where we play pickleball.  I think this new shop is much much better than when it used to be on the Coral Bay Road and more like it was originally when it was located in Chloraka.  There are all sorts of nice 'things' at prices from cents to many euros.  I shall be taking a visit when it comes to Christmas and the few little gifts I need to buy - you would surely be able to find something different and inexpensive in there.

From there we introduced Di to the delights of Lemba Bazaar which is a right old Aladdin's Cave of  all sorts - John wanted me to pick up a doormat we had seen there previously which he wants to use to stop the water splashing up out of the steps of the pool into the conservatory.  We had a good old mooch around whilst John was playing badminton and then attending the AGM which turned out to take longer than he had anticipated.

On our return the weather really had begun to change and it was black overhead - mum had already text to say they had heavy rain in Paphos and their front garden was beginning to resemble a lake.  We had to batten down the hatches but secretly we now enjoy these conditions because we no longer fear the rain as we have done everything we can to make the house as weather-proof as possible.  I was so glad I had taken in all the outside cushions and rugs but now wish we had taken the gazebo covers down as well!

Leftover Somerset Shepherd's Pie, a glass of wine, the last episode of Game of Thrones, all four cats indoors - HEAVEN
