1st and 2nd dry and bright and warm. Late 2nd clouded over - rain forecast for tomorrow. 3rd 4th and 5th all nice warm days. 6th and 7th glorious. 8th and 9th colder overnight, bright starts then clouded over in the afternoon. 10th, 11th, 12th lovely even though storms are forecast. 13th lovely, 14th stormy. 15th absolutely lovely. 16th bright and breezy but showers in the evening. 17th lovely day but we had a power cut for some reason. 18th started dry and bright until lunchtime then deteriorated and became cold, wet and windy. 1st thunderstorms. 2nd brighter and warmer but still lots of cloud around and rain due to return tomorrow. 3rd a bright start which became stormy by midday. 4th a much warmer and more settled day. 5th bright and breezy. 6th bright start but clouded over. 7th and 8th rather changeable and cooler - some heavy cloud cover but no rain. 9th still very changeable and unsettled. 10th still unsettled and cooler. 11th hot in Cyprus, drizzly in Birmingham. 12th unsettled and cool. 13th started brighter but then dreadful rain (in Birmingham), 14th dry bright and cool, 15th dry after an overnight frost, 16th cool for my return to Cyprus - weather in Cyprus warm and bright. Good weather in Cyprus until 28th when clocks changed which sometimes heralds a change in the weather too but 29th hot. 30th and 31st muggy and overcast.

1st hot and muggy. Normal weather until 10/12th when Storm Daniel hits us with thunderstorms and heavy rain. All good, above average temperatures until September 30th when we have storms.

Heatwave until 7th August. Still hot in the day but very cool and damp at night. 10th August overcast and muggy. 11th sunshine but much cooler at night. 14th overcast and extremely muggy. 15th -18th back with a heatwave. 19th overcast and exceptionally muggy. 20th - 23rd very hot. Hot and sticky weather continues until 28th August when we have storms and rain unbelievably. Remainder of August Hot and sticky.

1st scorchio with a wonderful warm evening, 2nd hot and sticky but suddenly getting a lot cooler this evening. 3rd slightly cooler overnight but a hot and sticky day in Paphos. 4th hot sticky and rain in Paphos! 5th slightly cooler. 6th lovely and warm. 7th rain this morning and then a fine day but cool this evening. 8th heavy rain for a short while this morning then blustery. 9th An indifferent start but turned out quite nice. 10th a lovely day, we have a belated anniversary/birthday celebration. 11th glorious. 12th bright and breezy. 13th getting more autumnal and rain forecast for the weekend - now dark till quite late in the morning. 14th rain is forecast but today was nicer than anticipated. 15th we are still awaiting the rain - we had some black skies but no rain as of 8pm. 16th - very heavy rain and thunder and lightning overnight and through the morning. Eventually cleared early afternoon. 1st - this morning we had bright blue skies on one side and pitch black on the other. We had a bit of a shower when walking but that cleared and then it was cold and bright for most of the day. 2nd grey and quite cold today but dry. 3rd bright start then thunderstorm and powercut, hail storm strong winds and storms. 4th - a mix, bright start, rain then back to bright. 5th glorious - sunshine all day. 6th grey and damp and a rolling mist all day - no daylight - no electricity generation and Mum went home early after lunch to be safe. 7th glorious. 8th blustery and grey - looked like rain this morning. 1st - bright and some sunshine - got washing dried! 2nd a grey and indifferent start turned into a pleasant day until early afternoon when it clouded over again. 3rd glorious. 4th a grey start and then bright and sunny. 5th grey and a bit miserable. 6th forecast to rain all day but bright this morning until about 3pm. No rain so far - 7th fine and bright thankfully but had I known I would have done some washing! 8th fine bright and dry again today. Clear skies mean the temperatures at night dip sharply. 9th dry bright and warm until late afternoon when it got wet and windy. Yellow storm warning in place DUVET GOES ON. 10th foul storm overnight and a grey and grim day today. 11th EARLY MORNING EARTHQUAKE JUST OFF POLIS COAST 6.6ish accompanied by a storm, driving rain, high winds and thunder and lightning. 12th - vile, stormy and grey. 13th brighter and less rain than forecast but bitterly cold outside. 14th a dry bright and sunny day and a bloody freezing cold night! 15th not so bright, much cloudier and definitely colder. 16th a bright and blustery day with clear skies so a very cold night. 17th close to freezing overnight but another fine bright day - not quite as nice as yesterday and rain forecast overnight. 18th foul. 19th a bit of all sorts, hail and high winds overnight, sunshine and snow flurries during the day! 20th bright but bitterly cold. 21st grey start, warmer on the coast, cold at night. 22nd - wet and grey all day. 23rd super stormy overnight and bitterly cold. Some sunshine today but a biting strong wind. Temperatures set to plummet tonight. 24th bitterly cold and we woke to snow - went down to Paphos to be greeted by warm sunshine! 25th - vile overnight, storms, high winds and powercut and a grey and grim day to follow with very heavy rain this afternoon. 26th last night was supposed to be the coldest so far this winter. Today we had rain, some dry spells and a biting wind. 27th we wake to snow and quite a bit by our standards - a cold day. 28th another small earthquake this morning but we didn't feel it. Bright for most of the day but raining later. Still cold. 29th a rather grey and uninspiring day. We went out for a morning walk to get warm. 30th bright start but grey finish. 31st a bright start but rain from early afternoon followed by rolling mists. We did however make more electricity this January than we had expected.
