53 Days to Go...

It's been a good day today - not work, work is work but after work I met with Laura in ASK for a (birthday) meal.  Those ASK vouchers certainly do their trick because one of our meals was only £1.00 so it makes for a cheap night out.  Mind you I am due to go there again tomorrow lunchtime with work and then possiblyThursday evening with Hazel to I will probably be all ASKED out by the weekend!

Laura and I managed to get home just in time to watch the GOK Clothes Roadshow.  This week it was coming from Cardiff and 5 weeks ago Laura and I managed to get to see the show being filmed live at the Millennium Centre courtesy of the lovely Mrs Roberts (Rachel).

Well we only just managed to make it there by the skin of our teeth (two minutes to spare) as they had delayed the start as it was the Friday that England played Wales in the six nations rugby and although we left Yeovil at 2.15pm the traffic was a nightmare.

One of the bridges had been closed because of high winds and every man and his dog was off to the rugby.  Poor Laura had to change in the car - much to the amusement of other travellers in the queue and I had only got to about Bristol before I was busting for a wee and there was no way we could stop.  Well that was me and the dogs (Geth and Shay) busting for a wee!!!

It is true what they say, TV does put pounds on you, Gok is considerably skinnier in real life than he appears on the TV and Brix is as irritating in real life as she appears on the box and let's not even mention those poor bloody dogs of hers!!!!  And as for the floor manager - when she appeared on the catwalk she obviously hadnt been Gok'd as she looked like she was in a suit several sizes too small for her - talk about two puppies in a sack!!

If you get to see the programme at some point then you will see Laura on and I one row back from the Catwalk sat down on the right hand side.  We were so absolutely sure we had sussed which was the Designer collection and voted enthusiastically for the PINK collection only to find that it was in fact the high street ensemble put together by the Gokmeister!
