Do you think that our little lovelies will snuggle up together like this after they have been to the vets for their ops???? We certainly hope so - it is just so sweet to see them like this. They always touch when they are sleeping together.
Chivers continues to grow like mad and little Minnie-Mou well she just stays much the same - we can't get her anywhere near scales as she is absolutely petrified of them so we don't know whether she is the requisite two and a half kilos.
I am really glad I bought that large basket though - by the looks of it, it is only a matter of time before they grow out of it!
Anyway so today started clear and bright - maybe Spring is just around the corner after all. The new wood store has provided a great vantage point for Chivers who loves to sit in the sun looking across the field and the big wide world that is beyond - bonus it also doubles as a scratching post as it is like the biggest piece of emery board you have ever seen.
John and I were at pickle-ball this afternoon and we wanted to set off early enough that we could go to Super Home Centre and pick up a few bits and pieces for finishing off the 'downstairs' toilet. This is very exciting as this is a real proper shop with real proper stuff I might want to buy or just look at!
We managed to get the trim for the panels and some rather nice baskets to house spare toilet rolls and had a good old mooch around to look at what the shop has to offer. It is the equivalent of B&Q or Homebase.
The Imperial Beach Hotel where we play pickle-ball must be one of those hotels which offers weeks and weeks over the winter months at a bargain price which only certain people of a certain age with certain pensions can take advantage of! It takes on the appearance of a rather up market old people's home at this time of the year. There were no hardy souls sunbathing this week but there were plenty who stopped to enquire what we were playing.
It was a quick turn round after pickle ball as we were meeting Dad at the computer shop to have a look at something which may provide him with a solution to streaming his TV from the internet without tying up his laptop. We think if he is going to spend some money he ought to get himself a second laptop so that he would have a back-up. What we were looking at today was a dedicated box called a Prestigio Ion which was small and neat but would only really provide him with the streaming facility. After some discussion he has decided to make do with what he has got and maybe get a second laptop in due course and we have rearranged where all his computer equipment is located so that he doesn't have to cart the laptop in and out of the den for printing.
After a quick shower Ray picked us up as we were going for a meal at the Adelaida in Kato Paphos before going to the quiz. Janice is back from her flying visit to the UK and her annual pilgrimage to the Strictly Roadshow at the O2. It sounds like she had a good time and took advantage of the greater range of shops to get in some retail therapy.
John and I have not been to the Adelaida for ages but it has always been good value for money and continues to be so. The set meal at €12.50 includes a free bottle of wine between two people! There is plenty to choose from and we had a lovely meal. I can only put our dismal performance at the quiz - coming in a measly third - down to the wine we had drunk beforehand! Vix will be with us the next time we are due to quiz so we will leave it up to her to decide whether or not she could stand the excitement!
Try driving through Protaras this time of year - will make Paphos look like a busy city! Maybe meet up at this restaurant in April - looks and sounds lovely
