I doubt I was the only one that felt ropey this morning when I woke with some fairy cobblers making shoes in my head and a dead budgie somewhere in my mouth. I like alcohol but it doesn't like me and I don't like the way it makes me feel in the mornings so maybe I should just accept the fact that I am better off sticking to soft drinks and not paying the price.
Kaye was up early and I got up to keep her company and watch the sunrise over Andreas's house and welcome in a new day - time? about 5.00am I think. John was snoozing and Richard away with the fairies. Too much sun and too much alcohol and too much time between meals is a dangerous combination. We left Richard to sleep in as we thought he might have had a bit too much sun yesterday.
John had decided that as I needed to go down to Coralia today to run an errand for Orexi Elena (who started her Chemo on Monday and has started to feel the effects) he wanted to find the Aphrodite's Rock Brewery and sample the goods and Wheelie Al had said he wanted to go with him.
As we waited for everyone to surface Kaye spent time with Charlie - she thinks he is lovely when he is lovely and a little shit when he is not! Looking at him in the photograph we can see just how much he has grown since he first arrived on the scene a month ago - then he didn't seem to be much bigger than John's hand!
We breakfasted slow-time and Kaye and Richard packed up their things and made their way back to Mum and Dad's and at about the same time Helen arrived with Al to drop him off for the Boys Day Out.
Actually it is pretty easy to find once you realise what the sign on the road is advertising! We passed on this bit of information to the management explaining that the Aphrodite Rock logo was too busy from the road and a simple Brewery sign would probably be just as good and they agreed!
Al and John took up residence by the bar and set about the serious task of sampling the various brews. I took a nice cold Coke and sat under an umbrella letting them get on with it! Whilst sitting I started chatting to the guy on the next table who turned out to be Mr Earworms and Daily Deals himself - Andrew Lodge. Now that was quite fortuitous as Olivera from Ktima Kannides was interested in using Daily Deals to promote accommodation there outside peak holiday season and sometime ago I had ordered some Greek earworms and never got the email telling me what to do - if you don't know what earworms are then you can find out here: http://www.earwormslearning.com/

The boys took the tasting very seriously before deciding upon the brew that they would sample in full and then deciding the combination of brews that would make up their 'mixed case'. They decided that the 'Yorkshire Rose' was a very drinkable session beer but the heavier more alcoholic Hobnob the winner!
We were taken for a little tour around the brewing facility and met the chief brewer Chris - who hails from Virginia in the US of A!!! This fledgling business has had a difficult start - fighting for three years with the authorities to be able to brew in Cyprus. They have now started in earnest and although early days for this family run enterprise, word is spreading fast and happily their product does not disappoint (apparently as I am no beer drinker!!!) it is also pretty reasonably priced and, as I said to Mr Daily Deals - a discount voucher for a case at Christmas would mean John's present would be easily sorted! We wish them all the very best and will be visiting again soon!!!
We had a quiet evening which was lovely. The evening skies over the mountains with the low lying clouds looked fantastic. Even Minnie Mou ventured in - gave Charlie a stiff ignoring - let us put a new collar on her as she had lost her existing one and mooched off again.
