Unwelcome Visitors and Welcome Visitors

We have not got to the bottom of Mousegate - there is evidence that this particular unwelcome guest is still around so we are going to have to get ourselves some traps unfortunately.  I hate mouse traps but they must be better than those really horrible sticky strips that are sold over here.  Why do we think he/she/they are still around?  A pile of cat biscuits hidden down the sofa was a bit of a give away - I can't think the cats are planning a late night feast!  Anyway we had the sofas turned inside out - again and took the kick boards off of the kitchen units - again - but haven't located the bugger(s) yet and the cats are completely disinterested - we clearly feed them too much - just look at Boris sunning himself and stiffly ignoring the kitchen.  We are determined though and in the words of Liam Neeson in Taken "I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you."

Our second unwelcome guest this morning was a scorpion found sipping cocktails and lounging by the pool - quite a small one so I am glad I never found it with my foot.  Scarily John and I went for a late night swim last night to cool down and never though about these critters being around and about - it could have given us more than we bargained for.

Art today so off down to Sheila and Klaus's.  Both Sheila and I are working on pictures with a Mediterranean theme - mine is supposed to be Santorini.  Klaus says it is all part of my Blue period!  I have been asked by the man where we take my pictures to be framed if I will do this picture for him as he likes my work and it is really nice to know that the picture is going somewhere specific.  For those of you not familiar this is done with pastel pencils which you blend and so sometimes it can take hours to complete just a very small bit of the picture - either that or Sheila and I are talking too much!

Welcome guests today are Cara and Darren who are coming up from Polis to join the Drouseia Massive on our evening out at the village festival.

Sheila and Klaus, Pam and George, Diana and Rob, Cara and Darren and John and I are packing our cool boxes and descending on the school where €10 will provide us each with a buffet and entertainment.

Absolutely no idea what sort of night it is going to be - will keep you posted.
