We had very strange weather conditions last night. Thick cloud amassing in the valley down below so that it looked like Andreas's house was right by a huge expanse of water!! The cloud began to rise and when we went to bed there were rolling mists and we woke to thick thick fog but the sun soon burned it off so that we had yet another lovely day. Still t-shirt and shorts weather even up here although, and almost unbelievably, rain and lots of it is forecast next week.
I must just show you lovely readers the contents of my oh so fabulous bucket of goodies which Nicky gave me yesterday. In the storage box was a selection of biscotti type biscuits - someone must have been talking because both Nicky and Sonia have given me these and I love them. Then there were chocolates - what's not to love about those and some Ginger Liqueur which John has plans for and some chutney and marmalade which looks lush. Big thanks Nicky-Mou xxx
We were up early and shot off down to Paps so that we could get some last minute items for Christmas - in particular some pork liver for Boris and Minnie Mou who really don't like to eat anything much else. If you are going to go shopping then an old tractor with a bucket think on the back is a great way to go. It was driven by a man who was the spit of Santa Claus - so maybe, just maybe he was getting some last minute bits too. Paps was empty unbelievably and Valentin shouted from the meat counter that he had liver in and promptly dispatched his side-kick to get us two and so we didn't have to queue which was a result. We got everything else we wanted and were in and out in a flash which was just as well as we were going out to lunch today in Paphos to Muse or Mousses as Argy calls it!
It was a glorious drive down and we had left in plenty of time in case there was heavy traffic or a lack of parking spaces but it was really pretty quiet bearing in mind it is the last Saturday before Christmas - having said that bugger all is open on the Mesoghi Avenue on a Saturday afternoon anyway. We managed to park up in the small carpark. The view was incredible.

It was a bit warm indoors but I had full control of the blinds so that made it more comfortable.
We have had to rearrange meeting up with Costas and Jackie time and time again - for lots of reasons, not least the treatment Jackie has been receiving but today we made it - they were their customary quarter of an hour late but hey ho who cares???? Great news in that Jackie has been given a clean bill of health after her last check up.
Muse is in a fabulous location with panoramic views all over the city and it is modern and trendy and the place to be seen but that comes at a price - particularly on the drinks. Costas as a restaurateur nearly had nose bleed when he saw the prices that were being charged here compared to what he charges at Tea for Two. He almost cried at the drinks prices - as did we when we got the final bill - let's just say this was a special occasion and for that reason we were happy to pay but for one course and two soft drinks we all paid about 20 euros each!!!

The food was ok - nicely presented and plenty of it but next time we meet we will be choosing something a little more down to earth!!! Having said all that we had the most pleasant couple of hours catching up and will be seeing them again in early February after the festive season and a couple of visits are done and dusted.
We had a quiet afternoon save for sorting out what we would be having for lunch tomorrow with Mum - she has donated some lovely lamb tenderloins and I am going to cook them - never have done so before and don't want to spoil them.
