These are not my photographs - but this is part of what I was aiming for today - mango chutney roasted feta salad with lentils, Cyprus lemon roast potatoes and Eastern Mediterranean Chicken Skewers in addition to coleslaw and an orange, nut and lettuce salad. I think I did pretty well as I forgot to take a photograph of the dishes I produced and they were pretty much demolished!!!

Mum had no idea they were here and was thrilled to see them and kindly she had brought me a bunch of mini roses from her garden which were beautiful.
We sat down in the garden chatting before John fired up the barbeque and I attended to the potatoes which I thought were going to be awful because they took such a long time to take on any colour and then all of a sudden they bucked their ideas up and became golden and crispy.
We had a lovely afternoon. The food seemed to go down well and the cherry panna cotta was great. Fortunately there was a bit of a breeze blowing through across the dining table which kept things a bit cooler but unfortunately it did cause some chaos taking a place mat and glass of wine on a couple of occasions which meant that poor Liselotte ended up wearing quite a bit of wine that she wasn't expecting!!!
Mum seemed to really enjoy their company. John and Liselotte are brilliant with her and are really interested in how she is doing and engage her in conversation. She got home safe and sound and John and Liselotte returned home shortly afterwards.
Nicky and Mark have let out their house in Emba on AirBnB so are camping out in Droushia and tonight was to be their first night sleeping there so we thought we would go across and just make sure they had everything they needed and share a glass of Prosecco - Charlie decided to come and make himself at home. In fact yesterday Mark was putting stuff away in the wardrobe and found that Charlie had made himself at home in the bottom. We will have to make sure that they don't shut him in although we do have keys so at least if they do we can release him.
We just stayed long enough to raise a glass with them and chat about their plans. I hope they sleep well - they are pretty shattered having had to get ready for guests and it is so bloomin' hot at the moment.
