Those of you who know me personally (well me and John) or who read the blog regularly will know that our house is a house of cat lovers and Minnie, Charlie, Boris and our sadly missed Chivers make our family complete. Last night Minnie Mou decided in her infinite wisdom that the crook of my neck was where she wanted to sleep - fine but her whiskers tickle and her breath smells a bit fishy at times. Boris decided to snuggle up in the crook of my knees which meant I could not straighten my legs and if I had been able to there was no room because fat-boy Charlie was away with the fairies on the bottom of the bed. I would have got out and gone next door had I been able! I know that there will be a lot of people who will turn their noses up at the thought of the cats on the bed - I get that, I really do but I would so much rather know where they are. When we got home the other evening Boris was in a heavyweight knockout competition with the big ugly tabby who shows no fear of anything, least of all John. Boris is now sporting a nasty swipe down his already scarred nose as a result.
All of a sudden a load of our friends have also embraced the love of a good cat (actually kitten) starting with Laura and Mark who have added Lady Hattie to their family unit. Lady Hattie is a beautiful grey kitten which I think was born on the farm where Laura stables her horse. The Blog formerly known as Follow Us and Our New Life in Cyprus - John & Jill Wiseman's move to and life in Droushia Cyprus.

Feline Friends
Originally just christened Hattie she is a pet with cattitude and now also sports the moniker Lady Hattie - like Laura she is a girl who knows what she wants and will never settle for second best!!
In the picture she has been caught out snuggling down in Arnie's bed - Arnie is Laura and Mark's little dog who is now very firmly at the bottom of the pecking order!!
When we first new Laura and Mark they had two strapping great boxer dogs as pets - now look at what they have been reduced to!!
Woody is a little girl - although they didn't realise at the time they named her but I am sure she will cope. Sally says she is a complete time-waster who distracts her completely and you can absolutely see why!!!
When we first met Sally and Tommy (B.C. - before Children) they had two cats - a grey called Bruno (so named because he had extra 'thumbs' on his paws) and the original Chivers after whom our cat Chivers was named.
Their Chivers used to pitch up at our garden in Glenthorne Avenue acting like he had been abandoned and was starving and we would feed him before we realised he did this to every house in the neighbourhood and was in fact loved and cared for by Tommy and Sally!!
I haven't met any of these beautiful babies - I can't wait until I do - Misty will no doubt be the first as I don't see me going back to the UK any time soon to be able to meet Lady Hattie and Woody Allan.
