Tidying the Garden in the Heat

We had a million and one things that we needed to do today - lots of niff, naff and trivia on a day when it was too bloomin' hot!!!!   There was nothing exciting about our admin morning save for the fact that the roads were full of people with a death wish.  A bloody woman in a massive Porsche nearly stoved in the passenger side of the car and some bloody van nearly stoved in the driver's side of the car by which time I was a nervous wreck.  It was with some relief that we returned to the relative calm of our home and garden!!!

There was really not much to report on today save for the fact that after months and months we had finally got round to finding an evening when our neighbours Das and Belinda could come for a drink.  We met them last year in February when they were in the early stages of moving over and they were picking our brains one afternoon in the Gin Bar.  I think it is safe to say a lot has happened since then, not least Covid, but eventually they have settled and live across the road from us next door by one to Nicky and Mark.

We started off sitting up on the roof - it was the coolest place and then as the sun went down we went and sat in my favourite spot which is outside the kitchen and we remained there for the duration.  It was a lovely evening with no condensation.
