The morning after the night before

I had to go down to Polis this morning to see my Doctor who wanted to get me an emergency appointment with a dermatologist.  Even though I had been pumped full of steroids and anti-histamines I still had plenty of evidence of the eruption.

Dr Manolis could get me an appointment back with Dr Christoforou tomorrow by which time the rash would have disappeared so I have to go at 11.00am and get Dr Christoforou to ring Dr Manolis so that he can tell him what he has seen.  In the meantime I am collecting together all the photographs which John took yesterday when the rash was at its worst when I got out of the shower.

It is all a bit depressing really but hopefully we will get to the bottom of it soon and I can then take whatever measures are required to try and avoid further outbreaks.

My appointment had put paid to any walking I had planned today but the weather today started a bit indifferent and actually when I would have been walking with Rachel it was pouring down - quelle surprise!!!!  I always joke with Rachel if we need any rain then I should organise to walk with her.  We are hoping that we might be able to walk on Thursday or failing that on Saturday.

We did get a bit of sunshine today so the warmest place to be was in the conservatory.  When John had been let loose shopping the other morning he had managed to get a Vienna Corn Loaf from the bakery in Prodromi which is like the creme de la creme of bread.  He rustled up a sandwich for lunch which was to die for.

We have been having issues with our TV box - in fact I think it is fair to say that it died - getting stuck on the startup screen so there was nothing for it but to factory reset and rebuild so we spent the afternoon doing exactly that.  Thankfully our supplier Kirk was at the end of messenger to help us with any questions and we managed to get it all sorted fairly easily.  In so doing we have decided to upgrade to his multi-room offering which will allow us to watch TV in both rooms and even run it on our phones although not all at the same time.

It was toasty warm in the conservatory.  We were joined by Charlie and Boris.  Boris was taking full advantage of the environment and getting warmth to his bits!!!

I was absolutely knackered after my exciting night last night so I opted for an early night whilst John decided to put himself through a late night football match and a miserable 1-1 draw.  Sheffield United were playing Nottingham Forrest which is always a bit of a needle match.

I have to say that I enjoyed watching a rerun of last year's 20/20 cricket match which we had watched this afternoon much more.

Off to the dermatologist tomorrow which means I wont be able to walk with John, Jane and John which is a bit of a shame but I shall be joining them for lunch at Fitos afterwards.  Hopefully I will have plotted something which is ok for John Page as he has had some issues with his back recently.  Also fingers crossed that the weather will be kind for them and for Mum and Lilian who are traveling up to Latchi to have lunch at the Souli with friends Sue and Fran.
