Summer Arrives

It would appear that Summer has arrived at long last.  I was up and out early walking with Nicky and John, Mark and Pete were out on their bikes.  They caught up with us on the outskirts of the village.  It was a good job it was early because it turned out to be a day packed full of sunshine.  I am so pleased that it has improved for Carole and Paul who we will be seeing tomorrow, for Hazel who arrives on Saturday and for Mel and Mike who are coming up to eat with us on Sunday.

I got back from my walk and had a freshen up before setting off for Paphos because my lovely hairdresser said she would be able to squeeze me in for a cut and my hair had just got to that point where it was about a day overdue for the chop.

I managed to quickly nip into Jumbos before going for my haircut.  I needed a few things in readiness for Hazel's visit.  I must have timed it just right as I managed to park right by the door and there were no queues to speak of at the checkouts.

On my way to see Lumi I passed a very pretty plant which was being grown up and over an archway.  I think this maybe something called Campsis.  I am not sure but it was the most attractive shade of orange.

I went for a short back and sides and felt so much better for it.  I barely need to get the hairdryer out for it which is a bonus!!!!  I was just about to leave when Lumi asked if I liked carbonara as she had just made some fresh.

It's not every day that you have your hair cut and then you sit down with your hairdresser with a bowl of freshly made, super tasty spaghetti carbonara !!!

I had a few other bits of shopping to do on my way home which involved a trip to Sklavenitis and Lidl and ending at Cycleband.  I managed to get most things on my list but realised that I had put a pair of shoes into the menders in the Mall to be rehealed and had forgotten to pick them up as I left - DUH!!!  I rang them and said I would pick them up on Thursday when I go down to take Mum shopping.

We caught up with Gail and Pete for a drink in the evening - it was a bit impromptu but we thought they might appreciate escaping the cramped conditions they are suffering whilst their bathroom revamp is being completed.  After a lovely day we were actually able to sit outside for a while this evening!!!
