The heatwave continues and results on spectacular sunrises and even more spectacular sunsets. This is so very different from the weather back in the UK where people are suffering the third worst July since records began. I would happily share some of our heat as I currently cannot take advantage of it or the pool which is sod's law since John managed to fix it!
We had a visitor in the kitchen this morning - fortunately John managed to rescue it before the cats got to it as it was alive and relatively intact. I used to be quite scared of moths but the hawk moths and in particular the oleander hawk moth (in the photo) are beautiful and nothing to be scared of.
We heard from our No1 Stalkers today. We do so miss not having them here on the island but know now that their return to the UK to be with family was the right one. They have exciting times ahead as they plan a move to Cornwall, this time to something a little more permanent than their static caravan which is amazing. We wish them the very best of luck with their search.
