John's cold developed nicely overnight which means that both he and I are feeling under par although my discomfort pales into insignificance compared to the full-on 'man flu' that John is suffering. I spent the morning scurrying around supplying Snips and Strepsils at regular intervals.
I had cooked something for lunch although if we were honest we had hoped that Mum might have decided she didn't want to be exposed to our bugs but she didn't tell us till afterwards that she would have gone to Lilian's if we had decided we weren't coming so we traveled down to Emba clutching a pasty-pie with some additional vegetables and gravy (for John) and some poached pears and cream. It was a hot day, hot days are a nightmare when your nose is blocked and Mum didn't think it was hot so it was stuffy down in Emba.
We had lunch and did the few jobs that Mum had on her list for us and then returned home about an hour earlier than we would normally do so that we could have a nice quiet remainder to the afternoon because we were taking Lakis and Argy to the airport as they were leaving this evening.
Bless Lakis and Argy they had said they would take a taxi. John was happy to drive he just didn't want them to be unhappy about being in the car if they were concerned about catching our bugs. They were, after all, going on a family holiday so a cold would be the last thing they wanted.
We got them to the aiport safe and sound and just as we were getting in the front door had a text to say they had checked in ok which is good because the airport looked pretty busy when we dropped them off.
We shall be having a nice rest tomorrow!
