Green pool not looking great! |
Well a quiet day today for me, with Jill now firmly in charge of the car, taking it to work every day does mean she gets home in time for tea and doesn't have to wait for the bus. It also means if we are going out she has plenty of time to get ready. Well we were in tonight for a change so we ate up the remainder of the Turkey that I won in the meat draw at the pub on Sunday, along with the lemon & garlic tangy sauce and a greek salad, very nice if I do say so myself.
Had an update phonecall from SF today to inform me he is tackling the draining and cleaning of our pool. Not an easy job, as you can see it was topped up from the heavy rains along with all the dust and silt that comes with it. Well he had the level down to a manageable level when he phoned and was going up with his wellies tomorrow to get in and get at the bottom - or if he has got any sense he will employ mother as his trainee pool cleaner. I will be happy if it looks half as good as his pool does even in winter. Many thanks again dad for all your hard work, it is much appreciated, but don't over do things as we can't afford 2 rooms at the Laura!!.
Tim also emailed us these photos of the new paint job on the outside of both buildings and garden walls together with photos of the stained eaves now complete, he was also going up today to skim the kitchen walls ready for tiling when we get out there in May. The tile selection is still ongoing with Jill and I now agreeing to wait until we get over there before we decide, a break through!! We are dotting the i's and crossing the t's with all things admin and are getting quite excited as the days seem to be flying now. We are sure we have all things in place and are just ticking along with the final sorting of what's going where and more to the point what's not going at all now. We seem to have come to an agreement that the container isn't a Tardis so we have to be sensible.
It won't be long before Jill can get her hands on her new garden which I know she is really looking forward to. A blank canvas for her to plan, organise, landscape and cultivate to her exacting standards - will we agree on the garden - probably not but we will have fun doing it and I know that I will get all the heavy donkey work! Thank goodness I was able to make a start back in February - but even without rain those shrubs can grow for England or should I say Cyprus??
