34 Days to Go...

Nightmare Day...  I cannot believe I have a cold - a snivelly snotty dripping head cold.  Worse than that in our confused state last night we managed to put the clocks forward downstairs but totally forgot the ones upstairs and so we woke up oblivious that we had lost an hour.  We have been out of sorts all day - heads think it is an hour earlier - hearts know that we are wrong!

When we actually got our acts together this morning (lunchtime) we decided to go to PC World avoiding the Yeovil Half Marathon and the chaos of the closed roads - by the way CONGRATULATIONS Hazel who finished the run in 2 hours and 24 minutes despite having asthma - no news as yet to the time posted by Geordie (Steven) John says best he didnt let a bird beat him!!

We were off looking for a PC Tablet to use to stream broadcasts to our TV when we are in Cyprus - we wanted something small enough to sit in the cupboard and we can also use it for surfing the net and reading e-books.  For once we had a knowledgeable and pleasant assistant who knew his stuff and as a result we bought an Advent Vega Tablet - now all we have to do is work out how to use it!

John was successful at the meat draw today, just as well really because we are running the cupboards down and it looked like it was going to be that good old Sunday lunctime favourite... omelette although the eggs were free range and kindly supplied by our neighbours the Pamments!!  John won a large turkey breast joint.  Now I am not a great lover of Turkey as it can be very dry and tasteless but I found a recipe for poached Turkey breast with a lemon mustard sauce which was easy and the turkey turned out absolutely beautiful - moist and tasty - shall do that recipe again as I think Mum would really enjoy it.

Will close now because one of us has to get ready for work tomorrow and let's just say it isn't John!
