What a difference a day makes... Well it is two days actually but the kitchen has now been transformed from the picture on the left to the picture on the right. Still a bit left to do - doors obviously!! These are currently being made and we have chosen a wood called Iroko which is left to a natural finish and oiled periodically and should be roughly the colour of the wood you can see on the top of the units above. Granite worktops (real Granite) are going to be put on top in a dark speckled finish.
We then have to decide upon the tiles and the door knobs or handles - that is going to be major as we can never agree!!! Jill brought a sample of a tile home today as a suggestion for the bathroom as a border which she LOVED and which I thought was just ok! However I am trying to make it grow on me - showing willing by putting it up against one of the kitchen tiles and looking at it from all angles - still not convinced!
We have given SF the weekend off. He only has two more soduko books left - he is racing through them whilst he sits and supervises the various workmen up at Droushia! Don't know how we would manage without him there though.
