Well, Jill is proper poorly today... I arrived back from visiting Mum & Hadge in Chesterfield to find that she had been up all night and had not gone into work. She was asleep in bed when I got in and had been there all day trying to get warm and shake off a mahoosive headache and aching bones.
Whilst visiting I managed to get Mum's loft boarded out so the dreaded Xmas decorations can finally move from the spare bedroom. The loft was a hell of a mess with knee high insulation in places and a right snakes wedding with more cables and wires than you could shake a BIG stick at. Laying the boards on this was hard going at times with lots of joist cutting to tuck the cables safely away. Job done by yesterday lunchtime so we had free time to go off to Crystal Peaks shopping centre for a mooch and I was able to pick up a B'Day prezzie for Jill to get me back in the good books!!!
After Coffee and toast I had an eventful morning as the M1 was closed in both directions due to an accident and the roads were chaos so I couldn't drop Mum and her friend Jackie down into Chesterfield to the poodle parlour or where ever they were going, for fear of getting stuck in Chesterfield that was now grid locked according to the local radio. I left earlier than planned to make a cross country trek on the A and B roads to join the motorway further down country. Once I was clear of Derbyshire I had a nice clear run and was home in 4 and a half hours.
The fillet steak dinner I had planned cooking for her birthday that I missed due to being UP NORTH was put on the back burner and I had an Indian takeaway delivered for tea. I managed to convince Jill to come and lay on the settee and try an onion bhaji. She has kept it down so far but the headache is still nagging away.
Tonights entry is very short as I am a novice at this compared to Jill.........
Normal service will resume on the blog tomorrow if she is feeling better... fingers crossed everyone or you'll have to suffer my poor ramblings!!
