50 Days to Go...

Another short post today as I have been upgraded from "proper poorly" to just "poorly" today. 

Believe me you really dont want this 48 hour 'flu and sickness bug because it is really gross.  The bhaji last night seemed like a good idea but was a BIG mistake - I should have stuck to the dry toast that felt like I was chewing a carpet tile and tasted much the same (I guess as I have never actually eaten a carpet tile).  Today I have managed a little porridge but the way I look at it at least it will no problem if it decides to come back again - anyway thanks for the suggestion Catherine.  I did manage to make it downstairs today but poor John had to sit in sub zero temperatures with the windows wide open as I kept burning up - still it will save on the heating bills!

I expect he was quite glad to escape for a couple of hours this afternoon down to the Standard with Mark from across the road.  The two of them had a look at the Hearse today and confirmed that the exhaust is blowing so we have decided we need to get it fixed even though we wll be getting rid of it in a couple of months - John has to get up early tomorrow morning to get it into town. 

Hopefully if I feel well enough we will make it down to Plymouth tomorrow to visit Roger and Joani for Roger's 70th Birthday celebrations.  That is the plan but we could leave it until Sunday morning if we really have to as his birthday tea isn't until Sunday afternoon.

We have had a number of update telephone calls from our site foreman today (aka Dad)  he has been supervising the installation of the solar heating.  Apparently it is a much bigger job than anticipated because the water tank is going inside instead of up on the roof.  We were under the impression that because of where the house is we had to have it hidden even so aesthetically we think it looks nicer anyway.
