Friends and Family Together...

OMG we are so excited that our friends are here with us - they arrived yesterday - the flight was one hour late but we didnt care.  John misheard the airport announcement which said they were arriving at 6.10 and he thought it was 16.10!!!  anyway no worries because we went to Mandria and found a bar and watched Tottenham v Liverpool (sorry Liverpool supporters) waiting for the flight to come in and then picked up Trev and Vix and found their accommodation at HilltopVillas in Paphos before driving up to Droushia.  Can I just say that if you are are allocated Hilltop Villas it is absolutely fine - in fact it is more than fine.  T&V have a room with lounge/kitchenette/bedroom and bathroom - all clean and tidy even though they might not use it.

As the last bit of the 80th celebrations we had invited all the family up to Droushia today - can you believe it the temperature has dropped by about 10 degrees but for our visitors it still feesl warm!!

On the plus side at least the digger had stopped working so all was peaceful.

Vix and I went off to Polis to do some shopping (just as well because our visitors stayed for lunch and dinner!!).

We managed to get some time in on our own enjoying the early morning sunshine and Trev found the best spot up on the roof terrace where the sun is at its best.

Can I just say that I am really having trouble blogging this because I have had one or two Gins too many and am typing this listening to Andy Williams on the I-Pod!!

Anyway Mum and Dad, Aunty Joyce and Uncle David, Kaye, Richard, Matthew, Elena and Michael arrived at about 12.00 and we provided chicken curry (courtesy of Mum) and Chilli and rice/pasta and garlic bread followed by apple cake and ice cream and fresh fruit and cheese and biscuits.  Let's not forget the fresh figs that we were given  by George who had been scrumping!!

How lovely is it to have family and friends together?  We had a really lovely day with all the family.  Mum, Dad, Uncle David and Aunty Joyce left at about 5.00 and Kaye and co stayed on with us until 9.30pm.

They came with us into the village to sample the delights of downtown Droushia before coming back to our house for tea/supper.  The kids go back on Wednesday so we wont see them again this holiday although they are ALL welcome to stay at any time. We have arranged to see Kaye and Richard on Saturday before they go home.

Can I just say that this blog is particularly for Tracy Burton - with much love from a changed Droushia xxx
