Be prepared for sporadic posts as we have two very poorly cats
Charlie and Minnie are both unwell

John will be grateful that Lumi has moved from the Mall because a haircut was inevitably followed, or preceded by, a trip to Jumbos where I would often come out with 50 euros of stuff I had no idea I even wanted!!!
The new location is down in Coral Bay so as I was a little early I drove down to take a look at the bay itself which was lovely in the sunshine.
I made my way to Crown Resorts. The salon is located in Spa Tonic - I had been in there once before when I had to collect a painted stone for Elena because the woman who painted stones worked there! We had also been to the hotel previously some years ago when Aunty Janet and Alan had stayed there several years ago and had a meal with them. I remember distinctly not being able to have a coffee at the table after our meal and having to go to the bar area which was a bit odd.
The hotel is ok - it is looking a bit dated compared to newer hotels. I did like the artwork that they had in the foyer though. The salon is downstairs opposite the spa reception and I could hear the dulcet tones of a fitness instructor putting people through their paces. It reminded me of when I first met Lumi and she had the salon in what was the Laura Beach now the Leonardo Laura Resort. Crown Resort is quite handy for me - straight down the main road and as I said no chance of me spending any money elsewhere!!
John did not come to pickleball today as it is Good Friday in the UK and the Mighty Blades happened to be the early game against Nottingham Forest and which they won and even better Dirty Dirty Leeds lost which meant that the Blades returned to automatic promotion spot although sadly Yeovil are about to drop out of the league proper.
We started pickleball a bit earlier as Di wanted to go home to watch Charlton and the five of us, me, Mum, Di, Liselotte and her John had a great session. Even better Marios came in and managed to sort out the lighting that hasn't worked for weeks.
On my drive home I stopped to watch a Kite surfer at Banana Bay - what freedom that man had although as I was leaving the wind was whipping him out to sea - I hope he managed to get back in.
We have Nicky and Mark here for the weekend. The slow cooked chicken casserole was a huge hit and it was really tasty - recipe on the food page of this blog although slightly tweaked as I always do with the addition of a little cream and some orange juice to the fluid. We had a lovely evening catching up and a few drinkies. John was ecstatic with the outcome of the football!
