Unfortunately we have been unable to improve our ability to lie-in in the mornings. I blame John, he blames Charlie, Charlie blames his stomach. All was quiet and peaceful in the Wiseman household until an early morning call of nature got John up and, no matter how quiet he thought he was being, Charlie heard him and that was fatal because he sat on the window ledge and hammered out the William Tell Overture on the glass until I got up. The only positive I can find to being up to feed the cats at 5.30am is that you get to see the sun rising up and over the Troodos Mountains - a vibrant smear of orange brightening up the leadened skies. The forecast for today is rain so the sunshine may not last for long.

Movember (a portmanteau of the Australian-English diminutive word for moustache, "mo", and "November") is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide.
John doesn't have to try to grow a moustache instead he had decided to remove his beard to highlight his facial hair. Now I have to say that I always preferred him clean shaven and then he decided to grow his goatee beardy thingy which was ok although a bit badger-like and then today he took that beardy thingy off and I really really wish he hadn't - I cannot believe how much that beardy thingy changed the shape of his face - I am really sorry to say it but without the facial fuzz he is looking everso slightly chubby and could pass for an extra from some dodgy porn movie. The beard needs to make a return appearance asap.

Veaseys - their brilliant idea to go and sample the delights of Fitos together because we haven't done so with them for a little while. Big thanks to the Bobster and Di for sharing the driving. It was a lovely evening. We are currently at the time of year when dining out in the evenings can make it difficult to decide what to wear. Even if the day is warm the temperature begins to dip quite a bit once the sun has gone down which it had today. We toyed with the idea of jeans and jumpers 'just in case' but Fitos had gas heaters lit indoors and so as a result Di and I were feeling everso slightly over dressed and over hot!!!
The food was excellent and it was really good to catch up with them - the busy summer months have led to disjointed socialising and they are off to the UK short trip soon so once they are back we will try and get back into the swing. We have missed our evenings with the Bobster and his vinyl.
