Returning home...

I managed to navigate the shower controls without any instruction this morning before sitting down for breakfast with Alex and Paul.  Alex had very kindly offered to drive over to the airport with me following her bit it occurred to me that if we did that, and I lost her, I would be buggered so I programmed Miss Grumpy Guts from Google Maps and included a fuel stop so I could ensure that Europcar would be happy even though I only needed another six quid worth to have it full to bursting.  I made it to the airport without a problem and dropped of my lovely little corsa and lugged my luggage onto the buss and into the terminal building where I feigned ignorance of the self check-in system and got a lovely EasyJet staff member to do it all for me - bless her she nearly got a hernia putting the big bag on the belt!!!  From there on in everything went swimmingly although I did have a close encounter with a toilet whose self flush was more sensitive than the parking sensors on the corsa and they sprang into action when anything came within a 10 mile radius!!  The loo mechanism flushed at every opportunity acting like some kind of maniacal bidet!

The two hours waiting around at the airport flew by helped by a video call with John which passed away about half an hour.  I also managed to get the Mermaid Pink that Savvas had asked me to look out for and at a reasonable price.

We boarded quickly and left on time with a flight time of 4 hours and 30 minutes and feeling slightly more human than I did when I was trying to digest my meal last night I decided that I would try a bacon butty or something - that was if there was food on the plane unlike when I flew over.

There was food and we had a stress free journey - no and no Mrs Elvis and no baby Elvis and actually not that many on the flight so I had a spare seat between me and the nice Norwegian lady sitting by the window.

I managed to get my bags off the carousel and when I emerged through the sliding doors (tonight Matthew I am going to be....) John was waiting for me which I hadn't expected but then learned that the carpark was closed so everyone was bagging the drop off slots.

We were delayed getting back home by two nasty accidents en route - welcome back to dodgy Cypriot driving unfortunately.  One was not far from Paphos Home Market and the other just before you get into Kathikas.  Let's hope those involved escaped unharmed.

I was a good girl and unpacked everything before falling into bed, narrowly avoiding all four of our cats - in fact Minnie was super miffed to find I had my head on what has now become 'her' pillow!!
