I have turned a corner and am feeling a little bit better - full of snot and a bit deaf with no sense of taste and aching from coughing but definitely a bit better - John however, has started to show signs of having caught my lurgy as he is complaining of a sore throat.
I had planned to get a bit of fresh air today with a little walk but the weather put paid to that as it was cold wet and miserable. For some reason this winter seems to be more difficult to cope with than in previous years.
Just to reinforce this point my Google Assistant pops up periodically with photograph from the same day but in previous years and six years ago Nicky, Mark, John and I went to the 9 hole par 3 course down in Paphos for a very competitive partners game of golf save for the fact that we swapped partners to try and ensure there were no divorce proceedings afterwards!! It was a glorious day and although not obvious from the photograph above we were all in short sleeves and the boys in shorts and not just the boys, me too, Nicky was much more stylish - sporting a pair of capri pants!!! There is no way on earth at the moment I would be in short sleeves!!!
Afterwards I remember we went for a walk along the prom in Paphos taking photographs of the lights at night before we headed off to Hondros for an evening meal courtesy of a Daily Deals voucher and I seem to remember we had to beg them for us to sit together so we could each use a voucher as the T&C's clearly said one per group! It was a good meal but we can get very similar food up this way for an awful lot less money so it is only somewhere we would visit if someone else was desperate to go.
You have probably gathered from my last few posts that I am struggling a bit to find interesting things to write about as my enforced grounding means I have been stuck indoors.
