Deep Joy I have a new Hoover...

No internet this morning which wasn't too much of a problem as we were up and out early mixing with the great unwashed of Paphos.  Today the government announced that there was to be no end date to the requirement to wear masks indoors and so we are grateful to Janice for the parcel which arrived with all our new ones.  I am not a lover of wearing a mask but these are a lot better then some and so I am trying to get more used to it.  The reason for going down to the Big City was that I was having my hair trimmed, John was searching for a bit of wood trim for the cupboard underneath my new cooker and we had planned to call in and see Mum as she had a few little jobs she needed sorting and I had a parcel to collect from RSS which was my .   In the end we decided against the bit of wood trim but I had the trim and we had coffee and biccies with Mum and looked at the things she wanted looking at.  She was on good form today and we shall be seeing her again on Saturday when we are off to the Gin Bar in Kathikas with her for lunch instead of Sunday when she is out with her lovely friend Lilian.  We are really pleased that she will have a full weekend.  Whilst at Mum's she was showing me the audio book set of CDs which Kaye had sent her which she is enjoying - it is the memoires of the Queen's Lady in Waiting Lady Glenconner.  Now that I know she likes the audio books I shall be keeping my eye out.  Sadly they didn't have any at the Charity Bookshop in Polis.

My parcel was my new hoover.  My old one is slowly but surely giving up the ghost and this one was given a great review compared with Dysan and G-Tech.  Welcome to my new Tineco which is lighweight and manoeuvrable and state of the art.  On the day I ordered it, it was on a very special offer with Amazon but I couldn't get it delivered over here because of the lithium-ion batteries so I decided to give RSS the shipping company a go at getting it over.  You order what you want and have it delivered to the RSS depot and then wait until the shipment comes over and then they ring you to go and collect your parcel, which I did today.

This evening we had invited Sonia around so that she could have a good look at what we had done to the garden particularly with regard to the planting.  She is a keen gardener and wants to create a nice little oasis in her new home.  We did a little walk around and she earmarked several plants and flowers that she would like me to try and take cuttings from.  It is so good to see her happy and excited about living here at Lordos 1 - we agreed that it was probably a good thing that we do not know what the future holds as she has been on quite a roller coaster of a ride.
