Knackered!!

For the second day in a row I was playing pickleball and I must have been bonkers after the hot, sticky and full-on session yesterday!!!

Before all that though we had arranged to meet Mum at Arabbica where we had planned Brunch.  We met at 11.30 and although our meals came quickly enough later in the afternoon when I was running around like a blue-arsed fly I rued my decision to fill my tummy with a full English!!!  Full English though is what we all plumped for.  The 'Breakfast on a Plate' is a massive €3.50 plus the cost of a cuppa if you want one.  As I say it seemed like a very good idea at the time!!!  It was a good choice for Mum because it meant she had something substantial and then didn't have to worry about what she was having for her tea later on.

Keith bailed out on Pickleball this afternoon, he said his back had been giving him a few problems after our sesh yesterday and, as Liselotte was bringing along Alla from badminton that meant we were down to 6 which is easier to administer and rotate than 7.  It is hugely difficult to sort out a playing list where you rotate players so that everyone of the six plays with someone different.  In fact there are 360 ways to pick four people out of a group of six and I have wasted hour upon hour of trying to find something that works and so that people are not sat out too often but am failing miserably and I haven't been able to find a workable solution on the internet.

I am not sure whether Alla really enjoyed the game.  It took her a while to get into and she struggled with the confines of the court because she is used to playing badminton in a school hall where there is plenty of room and she found quick games and rotating partners messed up her flow.  It would have been nice to get her in as a regular players on a Thursday but I guess she may have preferred to play when Liselotte was playing and currently we are full on a Friday.

John and I were glad to be able to go straight back home and straight into the shower as we were hot and sweaty.

We didn't have to think too hard about what we were having for our date-night supper as we had some pasta left over which needed eating up.

We have decided to try something different tomorrow and are planning on having Tacos because Paps has a special offer on Mexican food so we will shoot off down first thing tomorrow to do some shopping.

We have also seen advertised that the garden centre at Agia Marina has had a bit of a makeover so we think we might well take a drive out there with Mum on Sunday afternoon which should break up the day nicely.  She has had a relatively busy week as Di very kindly met her for lunch yesterday - they went to Ocean Basket together and Mum said she had a nice time which was great.
