I am fully vaccinated!!

So today was the day that I got my second vaccination - brought forward to just over 8 weeks from the original 12.  I was due at Polis Hospital for 9.45am but got there early.  Now they have two vaccination areas - the original one deals solely with Pfizer and the new one deals with Astra Zeneca.  There was no-one waiting so I walked straight in got jabbed, walked out, sat down the requisite amount of time and then walked up to Tina's Art Cafe.  John had gone to do the shopping.  It was all so quick and easy and I didn't feel a thing when stabbed.  Well done Polis Hospital and the staff.

Polis is well worth a walk around if it isn't too hot.  Walking up from the hospital to the square you pass a beautiful old colonial house which is in desperate need of repair but would be beautiful if someone spent some time and money on it, however this house is on the edge of a massive archaeological
dig which has been going on for ages so maybe that dig has to finish or maybe that dig will end up with the house being demolished.  I don't know what has been found - I can't find anything on the internet so far.

There are some fabulous old buildings in Polis but sadly in terrible states of repair.  It will be a very sad day when these disappear completely as they are a fascinating living museum of some amazing building techniques.  This building is actually attached to the side of Tina's Art Cafe.  The arches are fabulous - and that again would be a fantastic building if renovated.

Because it had been so quick to get my vaccination done I was a bit early for Tina's Art Cafe to be open so I took a wander down Agios Andronikos Park which I am sure used to have a fountain in the centre of the raised bit - I shall have to get my mother in law Janet to confirm that she has actually seen it in action.  Anyway it isn't there now and apparently they use that circular area as a wedding venue.

Tina's Art Cafe was cool and shady and it is a beautiful spot to while away a couple of hours and her cakes are to die for!!!  Not today though - just a cold drink and a rest before going home.  Mum, Lilian and Sandy are coming up to Polis tomorrow to go to Festival Shoes apparently and they are going to come here for a sandwich (if they can find it!!).  I am quite pleased really that Mum has something planned because I am not sure whether I will get any reaction to my jab.

We returned home and I took some paracetemol and then reclined on the bed for a while before having a snooze - not anything to do with the jab I think, more to do with the poor night's sleep for the last two nights.  So far though no adverse reactions so that's brilliant - another quiet day planned for tomorrow.
