It was a glorious morning - the clocks changed overnight which normally heralds a change in the weather. No-one told the cats about the change so they still want feeding at the same time so we ended up getting up early and going for a walk.
We went out of the village and headed towards Arodes. Sadly this road takes you past the dump - whether it is official or unofficial we have never found out - whatever it is, it is a mess and a blot on the landscape. Before and after the dump stretch it is lovely - you would think, wouldn't you, that the locals would want to keep it all that way but they do have a disappointing attitude to rubbish and a penchant for dumping things which could easily be taken down to the official recyling point at Chryochous.
We pealed off to the right and cut across to the main road from Arodes to Inea and walked up the 'switch back' off up to the centre of Inea. Again sadly this part of the walk is marred by the litter which is in evidence everywhere, not so much as at the dump but still too much. It was fairly quiet, no sound of hunters although it is a hunting day. It would seem that most of the people out and about this early in the morning are busy with the annual olive harvest.
The remainder of the day didn't quite go to plan as Mum had a bit of an encounter with a green wheelie bin. She managed to add to the myriad of dints and scuffs which her Nissan Note has sported for a while. We decided that it was about time to get them all sorted particularly as she was lending the car to Kaye when she is over in December.
We decided to take her back home and bring her car here so that we could take it to the auto repair guy who is in Terra.
