So I was back down to Paphos again today so I could get my hair cut. I also had a parcel to pick up from ACS on the Mesoghi Avenue and I got to investigate a fantastic little shop which is opposite the entrance to the General Hospital which is called Redesign and Vintage and which sells everything you could want for decoupage so because I wont be able to go to Anna's Workshop now for a while I treated myself to some white 'rice' paper for the background and some other printed rice papers and serviettes for the patterns. What a lovely shop and what a nice lady Georgia was that was in there. Anyway I am guessing I shall be going back there again on several occasions.
It was another glorious day. In fact really really warm down at Lumi's. I had taken her a gift for Christmas and in return she cut my hair for nothing! She always does that for the last visit in December. She is a bit unwell - she is having to investigate an operation to have varicose veins stripped which made me feel quite queasy as she described what was going to happen. Poor Lumi, she seems to take one step forward and half a dozen back as things get thrown at her to cope with.
I came home via Shuks - we were in need of liver for the cats and then took the road along Banana Bay. The colours of the sea were absolutely incredible. I am hoping that the weather will stay like this for next week when my sister is here. We will probably try and fit in a couple of short walks if we can.The parcel I had picked up from ACS was three smart lightbulbs which I had ordered from a firm in Nicosia. They were sent cash on delivery and that actually meant cash - bit of a bugger as I had planned to pay by card but had to take my life into my hands and go to the ATM at the Alpha Bank on the Mesoghi Avenue which is in the middle of the roadworks and to which access is almost impossible.
We had a lovely evening - the taverna was warm and busy - it was a great atmosphere - almost festive!!! We all had a lovely meal - the two Johns had spare ribs, I had salmon, Jane had moussaka and Mum had chicken kebab. I don't know why we don't go there more often as it really is a great place. Can't believe Jane and John's two weeks are over already.
