It is fair to say that this is not a well household at the moment. John has not been 100 percent since before Christmas with a chesty cough and guff in his lungs. I have the head cold of all head colds and am absolutely streaming. I an wearing a big old man's hankie like a nosebag at the moment. I can't remember when I last had a cold so this has come as something of a shock. To cap it all not one of our cats is firing on all cylinders which is weird and worrying. Boris is recovering after his trip to the vets but today Minnie is by far the most poorly and the biggest cause for concern because of the pancreatitis she had last year. Sod's law I was telling the vets on Friday how well she was doing. It is strange as all three seem to have lost their voices and aren't eating anything like what they normally do and Minnie has hidden herself away in one of my drawers and no amount of coaxing will get her out. Periodically I hear her cough or retch - I am not sure which. It would appear that they may have all got laryngitis - the symptoms would indicate that as being a distinct possibility.
Bad weather has been forecasts for this coming week - not unusual in February but not welcome either. The black clouds over the estate indicate that the weather is coming from the direction of Lara which is always stormy. Having said that we did have some periods of sunshine so whilst not great we are still making some electricity. I was able to text in our readings at the end of last week. We can do this via a WhatsApp group which is really convenient plus they send back an acknowledgement so you haven't got to worry about whether or not it has been recorded. Our bill for December/January came back as 30 euros and we still have some units in the bank to carry over to the next bill.
I had planned to do so much today - not least go back to the Doctor about my bad shoulder but I just couldn't do anything which is such a bugger. John was in and out as he was helping Pete with some Ikea wardrobes that needed putting together.
