Decorating...

The weather is really changeable at the moment so after a warm but windy day we had storms and it was cold and wet, but only in Droushia if you looked down to the coast .  We are used to it but it is a bit irritating because it is impossible to know what to wear or whether or not to pack away all the winter accoutrements!

We had more decorating earmarked for today which was just as well because it meant we were indoors and moving about which kept us warm but it was so cold in the house that the gloss paint I had put around the door frames resolutely refused to dry so I could only do one coat and the 'quick drying' filler John was using for the patch on the ceiling that he has knocked off due to a rusting rebar was anything but so our progress was slow.  We think we really might be wise to buy another tub of paint which we totally forgot to get when we went past Glykkis this afternoon so I will have to get it when I go down to Mum's tomorrow.  It is taking longer than we had planned but is looking fresher and cleaner.

We had to nip out down to Polis for a few bits and pieces.  As you can see it was relatively bright down there.  John had been talking to Richard who had been down in Paphos and he said it was lovely there.  We just keep thinking that when everyone is suffering with the humidity we will be laughing up in the hills!

We did not start anything new to watch today just had a lazy evening after a meal of pasta with chorizo and halloumi.  I had rung and spoken to Mum to make sure she was ok after learning that Eileen had unexpectedly passed away.  I think Mum was a bit shell-shocked.  Eileen's daughter Hilary had kindly phoned to have a chat with Mum to put her in the picture about what had happened over the last couple of days and she said that Eileen was more than ready to reunited with Eric which I guess makes it easier to deal with.
