Fabulous Food, Friends and Family

Today we were meeting up with our dear friends Richard and Angela who, if you are a regular reader of this blog, are responsible for my parents coming to live in Cyprus and therefore us too!  We had arranged to meet whilst they were here to hand over some DVD's of Mum's and agreed to meet at Kyparissos for lunch.  The eagle-eyed amongst you will see that this is not Kyparissos but Fitos and that was because Kyparissos was closed.  It didn't matter though we had a lovely lunch and it was great to catch up.

I left Angela and Richard and then had to shoot down to Paphos to pick up Mum and take her to the airport to meet my sister who is here for a week.  This time she is staying in Latchi at the Eliofos Centre and our friends Matthew and Sarah will recognise her home for the week as the place they stayed in not once but twice in the past.

Her flight was delayed to start thanks to a strike by French Air Traffic Controllers but arrived on time and she was through quite quickly - it must have been as we only needed to pay a euro for parking the car and the car park was nigh on empty (although the periphery of the airport was not).  We were in the car and away and having a cuppa with Mum way quicker than we had expected.

We left Mum's and drove down to Latchi where John was waiting for us.  We were careful to avoid the sneaky traffic cop with his radar on the opposite side of the road to where I was pointing out he could be to Kaye (near Costas's Cottages) fortunately we weren't speeding and so he ignored us otherwise it could have been an expensive start to her holiday!

We decided to go to Molos for a meal.  Having eaten earlier I just had a starter salad but it was all lovely and it was glorious sitting in the late evening sunshine particularly as Kaye said she had not enjoyed any sunshine in ages.

We took her back and settled her in before saying our goodbyes.  She will be at ours tomorrow morning and then she and I are going to collect Lilian and Mum and go to Sonny's to celebrate Mum's 88th Birthday.
