To be fair he is a very amiable chap and he promised not to make me cry today.
He rigged me up to the electric machine and told me to shut my eyes and drift off which was impossible because at the same time as I was being zapped there was a steady drip drip drip coming from the air conditioning. Zapping and Japanese water torture all in one! Marios came in to apologise about the water. He wasn't happy because it was dripping onto some electrical sockets!! He said he had called the engineers but had no idea when they would arrive and I tentatively suggested maybe the filters needed cleaning. Marios looked at me as if I was speaking Swahili plus he clearly didn't do cleaning so he gave the aircon a good stare and exited only to come flying back in to throw a towel over me as the engineers had arrived. Thank goodness I was covered up from them and to the unsuspecting outside world as they threw open all the sliding doors to the carpark outside! Fortunately they fixed the aircon quickly - by cleaning the filters!
We then had a hot and sticky day down in Paphos today not helped by the fact that Nicolaou Electronics closes for 2 hours lunchtime and then does not open dead on time. John has a battery conundrum with his mini chainsaw which he ordered online from what turned out to be a dodgy website. It was supposed to be a Makita to match the rest of his tools but he received a 'Stihl' which could have been manufactured by a 3D printer for all we know! It does at least work but the 2 rechargeable batteries charge to different values. John assumed the lower value one was faulty but it would appear not it could be that the higher value one is totally wrong. We are not sure any of it, although labeled Stihl is actually Kosher.
