We have said goodbye to Louise and Malcolm - their time here went by so quickly what with decorating and looking for things for Villa 11b plus in the middle their daughter Sophie came out and their other daughter Alicia will be coming out with her cousin so George and Pam will have some more company which is great because I know that they will miss having a houseful although maybe not sleeping on the sofa bed!
Today I was venturing down to Paphos and driving as Dr Marios said that I could if I took things carefully which of course I did. I picked up Lilian en route and took her shopping with Mum before we all three went off for some lunch. Mum and Lilian had chosen the Amphitheatre Cafe in Tala which is a nice little place although today sitting outside was going to be too hot for Mum so we sat inside. As I parked the car and walked down the steps I knew I was hoping in vain to be sitting outside in the fresh air rather than inside in the conservatory. There is always some reason why Mum cannot sit outside. It isn't her fault but I do melt somewhat and feel quite sick if I am over heating.
It wasn't too bad in the conservatory as my left ear was blasted by a fan so that my hair was swept across horizontal to my ear almost Donald Trump-esq.
The resident cat seemed oblivious to my plight and had made him/herself comfortable on one of the chairs. I think there is one item on the menu that Mum choses here - a sausage and onion panini which she always hopes to share with someone. Lilian was treating us so I told her she should choose what she wanted to eat and not share which went down like a lead balloon. Anyway Lilian and I had the coronation chicken wrap - EACH and mum did indeed have the sausage and onion panini - quelle surprise but proceeded to pick out most if not all of the onion. She dutifully cut it in half but actually ate the whole of one half and the sausages out of the other half which wasn't a bad attempt.
Having taken Mum home I then went to Lilian's and tried to help her with her on-line tax return but no matter what we did the computer simply said NO. I have no idea why - I had done both mine and John's a few weeks ago and Lilian's was pretty similar so can only conclude that there was some sort of glitch.
