Dodgy Weather

I think all the eating and drinking we have been doing is catching up on us.  Through the night last night I had chronic indigestion and woke up around 3.00am and could not get back to sleep.  I actually text my sister because I realised we had got in a right mess with my flight times and she was going to be coming to pick me up from the airport about 7 hours to early!  I apologised for the time I text explaining I couldn't sleep and she was relieved because she thought someone had died.

We had planned a trip to Paphos Old Town followed by a meze in the village but when we got to the Clan it was clear that Jackie was unwell so we decided to save today as a day of rest and moved the meze back one evening and left the Clan to have a quiet day doing whatever they wanted.  John and I nipped into Polis in search of a wedding card.

We went to several places but I really couldn't find anything suitable so decided I would have a go at making one myself when we got home or at some point when I was home because I was feeling absolutely knackered.

I had hoped to have a bit of a snooze on the bed but Jan and Derek had decided to knock down the pump house next door and it was a bit on the noisy side or actually a lot on the noisy side so that wasn't an option.

We had storms forecast from midday and all afternoon we had rumblings of thunder and some pretty spectacular cloud formations but no rain which was a bit of a bugger as the garden will need watering again.

John checked in on the Clan - Jackie was feeling a little better and it was decided that we would mooch up to Kaponas and have something light for tea which was a good idea so we agreed to meet them at around 6.30pm.

Here is Stan and I (horribly unflattering photo of me) being photobombed by John whilst we are waiting for our food.  It was a chillier evening than of late so we sat inside which also made sure Jackie didn't get more of a chill.  The light food was delicious and I went home with a bag of quince which I have promised to make into marmalade for Eleni!
