More family...

It was a bright and blustery day today.  The Clan had gone off down to visit Mum and were going out to lunch at Tea for Two.  John and I had arranged to catch up with Karen and Dip down at Latchi where we were going to eat at Molos.  We managed to get a table on the water's edge by the boats, not that it makes an iota of difference to your food but it is rather nice to sit and watch the vessels come in and out safe in the knowledge that we could do this every day if we so wished and that the passing holiday-makers may have paid hundreds, if not thousands, for the privilege.  Sometimes we need to remind ourselves just how lucky we really are to be living in this beautiful part of the world.

We appreciated Dip and Karen taking time out to catch up with us.  Karen is having a rough time of things at the moment with family illnesses so we weren't sure she would want to socialise.  She says she hasn't done much since she arrived last week, needing to recharge her batteries and she leaves on the same flight as the Clan next week so it will have been a short respite for her.  We had a nice lunch though and a good chat and she and Dip came back to ours for a cuppa before heading back to Universal.

Whilst we were down at the harbour we did go and have a look at the progress being made at the new 'fusion' restaurant which used to be Nicandros.  It is definitely getting there - I thought I might have been open looking at the outside but there is still a way to go.  It will be interesting to see what the menu is like.  No doubt we will try it in due course.

This evening we had been invited over for drinks at Lakis and Argy's.  We had told Argy not to go to any trouble but that is impossible and so there were all sorts of nibbles to accompany our drinks.  It was an exciting evening as we kept half an ear and eye on the Europa League football results because Giorgo's beloved ARIS were playing Rangers and managed to pull of a win.  Needless to say he will have been ecstatic.

Anyway it was a lovely evening so thank you to Argy and Lakis for inviting us all.  It was prefect in the sun room.
