Oh what a lovely lie in John and I had this morning as I was relieved of Sunday Lunch cooking. Because Jane and John are here, now joined by Lynn we had asked them to pick up Mum and bring her to ours and then we all went down to Latchi to find a table at Molos on the harbour to have lunch. It had become a little cloudy up in Droushia but down by the coast it was glorious.
Funnily enough the table behind us was taken by Dip's brother Kirt and his wife Donna and we had arranged to meet up with them tomorrow to go to the Winery for lunch!!!
We had a lovely time, Mum had sensible enough to wear trousers and bring a cardi because although it was sunny we were sat under a huge umbrella. She seemed to enjoy herself but I know she struggles when there is a group of us and her memory is shocking. She admitted as much when she forgot Lynne's name!
John and Lynne and Jane and John went for a walk after lunch going around the harbour as far as the statue of Regina (the mythical Queen of Cyprus) I remained behind with Mum so that we could have a chat one to one as she was more likely to be able to hear and engage that way.
We retired to 10b for a coffee and a chat before they returned to Emba. Mum gets very twitchy when she is ready to leave - not entirely sure why - she says it is because Freddo needs feeding but actually he isn't eating much at the moment and most of the time she says NO to him anyway. Perhaps she is getting cold or her back is hurting but the trouble is she never says she just drops some rather unsubtle and quite rude hints that she is ready to leave.
We said our goodbyes and had a nice quiet remainder of the day.
