The last day in Greenwood Road with all our furniture - I hope to god that it all fits into the container - we have tried to be sensible about what we are taking but until we are told that it will all go in we are concerned about what we might have to leave behind - because as sure as eggs is eggs, John and I wont be able to agree and particularly not when the pressure is on to make a decision.
You dont need to guess what we have been doing today - more tidying and more cleaning. My bathroom is so clean and white you need sunglasses on when you go in there!!
I am ashamed to say that when we moved our bed today it looked like it hadnt been moved for the four and a half years we have lived here and it was absolutely disgusting - although John says he has hoovered behind there it cant have been for a while and a long one at that.
You wont believe it but I think I might become a cleaning evangalist - it is very therapeutic and so satisfying when it is done and this from someone who needed a map to find the hoover when John was away!!
Anyway John says we are ahead of the game so hopefully next week isnt going to be too exhausting.
This evening I was out on my last girl's night with a crowd of us who all worked at Westlands at some point and who have been meeting up for a meal for about 25+ years. It wasnt a goodbye though as hopefully they will all drop by the Bull next week and have a farewell drink with John and I. This evening we went to the Phelips Arms in Montacute and had a nice meal. It was good to see the pub busy. John went round to Mark's to keep him company armed with a couple of Pizzas and some cider and watched a movie - putting the world to rights.
I am guessing we wont sleep tonight - lots to think about! - to help us we are sharing a cider - drinking out of a couple of old mugs as our glasses have been put away! John is busy sorting out some knives and forks otherwise we will struggle to eat tea tomorrow.
We may not get a chance to Blog tomorrow - but will do our best.
Stop Press - forgot to tell you that John has conjunctivitis - caused by stress and dust. I am administering eye drops which is a laugh as John cant bear anything near his eyes - so as fast I get near with the stuff he has moved his head out of the way but at least his ears are being swilled out!
