First of all I owe John an apology because he actually came home about 30 minutes after me last night with very little social confusion whatsoever! In fact I was still watching the Masters when he got in - and apparently he came home to be with me (nothing to do with the fact that it was Laura's birthday and he didn't want to play gooseberry!!).
Another glorious day today - weather that we will have to become used to in the future!!!
It is now going to be a series of last times for me - today is the last Sunday I will get that feeling of trepidation knowing that it is work tomorrow but not knowing what that will bring.
I have started to get rid of clothes that I would only ever have worn to work - it is really hard to get our heads round exactly what we are going to need in the future. Clothes can be expensive in Cyprus and unless you go for an international brand like Marks or Next they tend to be designed for stick insects. Poor John stands no chance trying to get into kecks made for the slinky hipped mediterranean men! He needs to make sure he has sufficient 'smart casual' to tied him over but as the sun really takes it out of washing it is pointless spending too much money - and as a Yorkshireman he wants Armani quality for Primani prices. He did however have a mooch around Le Georgai (Asda) and find some collared casual shirts to take with him.
Another last was going down to the Standard for the Sunday meat draw. We will be out and about quite a bit for the next three weeks so there is little point stocking the cupboards too much. Needless to say we didnt win so we had Sunday dinner which was made up of salad and spicey meatballs with coconut and limeleaf rice and was absolutely lovely. Good job we aren't dyed in the wool Sunday Roasters!!
Just preparing John's todo list for tomorrow then I really must go and get some clothes ready for work - only five more days of doing that!!!!
