Friday - Poets Day (P*** off early tomorrow's Saturday)...
Penultimate Friday for me at work, Fillet Friday for John and I as we always look forward to a really nice meal together on a Friday. Will it be the same in the future? Don't know but we are going to have to make it so. So on tonights menu from Good old Marks and Sparks, Fillet Steak, Salad, New Potatoes and Treacle Tart and Cream - ummm ummm lovely.
It has been a hard day at work today, no rest for the wicked that is for sure. When I got in Gemma had been given the Grand National Sweep Stake to organise. She pulled out the favourite - AP McCoy's mount Don't Push It whilst I managed to pull out some three legged blind nag which was a reserve and no hope of ever running (but John reckons that will be the one that Hadge has backed)!! That set the tone for the day - I spent most of it trying to sort out the payroll computer which stopped me getting on with anything else.
I had to do some comfort shopping lunchtime just to get me through the afternoon!!
We seem to have another problem at Droushia with the pool and filter system - both John and I have been trying to get in touch with Philippos to try and get things sorted - we have received an 'ok' but what does that mean?? Ok yes will get it sorted now, Ok yes I will get it sorted at some point - who knows??
Anyway took the early bus home and John and I managed to sit outside in the sunshine for a half hour with a G&T to wind down. Marks and Spencers turned up trumps and tea was fab. If John is lucky I may be able to stay awake until at least 8.00!!
Not much to report today - next Friday will be a completely different kettle of fish!!
