Transit Day...

Today is our transit day - a leisurely morning and a good old fry-up to send us on our way - thanks Hils (who, by the way, looks absolutely fantastic having lost quite a bit of weight since we saw her last, wont say how much - like giving away someone's age you should never discuss someone's weight!!).

Hils and Keith took us to Gatwick today, via all Heathrow terminals as the M25 looked chocker!!  It was so weird to say goodbye to them at the airport but knowing that we would see them again in two weeks when they come over to Cyprus to entertain the expats with their music.  We have our tickets and will be heckling from the sidelines!!!

John and I sat in the Servisair lounge at Gatwick North Terminal nursing a gin and tonic trying to get our heads around the enormity of what we have just done - several years in the planning but scarey all the same.

The EasyJet flight did exactly what it said on the tin except we were late taking off because some prat had gone to the wrong gate and so their baggage had to be off-loaded before we could fly.

We arrived on time with bags two and four on the carousel - how often does that happen??  Mum and Dad were ready and waiting - an emotional time for us all.

We have just had supper and a couple of glasses of wine and are contemplating bed but adrenaline has kicked in so it could be a late night - lots to discuss...

Tomorrow becomes Day One of many - will keep you all up to date as and when we can - internet connection permitting.

We look forward to hearing from you with all your news and seeing some of you as and when we can - thanks for all your kind wishes and for some fantastic memories.  The Weismullers live on in Cyprus...
