A Date with the Rat Pack...

Today, Saturday, was Vicki and Trev's last full day of their holiday.

Last minute shopping was in order so we started with a trip down to Paphos for a wander around the market and then a delicious and  leisurely lunch in Scorpios Taverna where the welcome is always warm and the food good.

Fed and watered we then set off to spend the afternoon at Mum and Dad's before going to Tala Amphitheatre in the evening to watch the 'Rat Pack' show.

Trev decided to take a dip in their pool to cool off in between some last minute panic tanning, sleeping and snoring - Mum's cat seemed singularly unimpressed by it all!!

Mum and Dad had kindly made pasties for us all - the last time we were together eating them was on Boxing Day in the snow outside Montacute House with Laura and Mark (who come over next week) and Tracy and the dogs Murphy, Shaz and Gethin.

Pasties done and dusted (excellent home-made pastry mum!) we set off for Tala and the show - armed with cushions, blankets, layers of clothes, cuddly toy, towels, fondue set, sliding doors - JOKE!!).

It was an absolutely stunning evening with the sun setting in the most spectacular fashion and Tala Amphitheatre is a really great place to get a photograph of it. (John's left and mine right)

This is the third concert that we have been to here and we were hoping for a good night as it was T&V's last one with us (this holiday).

Mum and Dad and Ray and Janice joined us for the performance and we made sure that we had seats on the back so that there was somewhere to put our backs against otherwise it can be a bit uncomfortable!

The show was great fun and hugely entertaining and as a bonus the young lad that impersonates Michael Buble was included and he was even better than when we saw him last time.  There was lots of arm waving and foot tapping all round!!

They got everyone going and we all concluded it was an excellent evening - worth every penny of the €10 ticket price - what a bargain!

We had planned to grab a final drink in the village but it was quite late when we got back to Droushia so we had our nightcaps in the villa watching The Chase on catchup - we know how to live on the edge don't we??

Goodbye's tomorrow...
