Hello's and Goodbye's...

It is 8.10pm on Sunday evening and the temperature is 24.5 in and 19.2 out.

So the last day of Trev and Vix's holiday...  The last week has flown by but second weeks usually do.

So this morning Sharon worked her magic by texting us to see if we were in and asking to bring Chivers round for some human company which she did and John just melted when he picked him up.

How tiny and how cute does he look????  We are smitten despite our best resolve not to be adopted by a stray.  Who could resist that little face????

We have agreed that when Sharon and Sean return home we will give Chivers a home - Sharon is doing a brilliant job with his injections for cat flu so we think it best that she completes that but we will have him round to get used to us and then give him a permanent home with Irene's help.  He is very unferal as we are able to pick him up and cuddle him so hopefully he wont be an independent little cuss that just comes in for food and then buggers off.

So today we said HELLO to the new member of the Wiseman family - Chivers xxx

Trevor got in the last couple of rays this morning (in T&V corner) although it was a bit cloudy this morning and the BDITFND was working on a Sunday - that's because the BDITFND driver drives the local bus on a week day!!

We realised that we only have one photograph of the four of us together after all the years of us knowing one another so I set up the camera with the timer and we took a photograph as a permanent reminder of happy times together.

We set off down to Emba as we had arranged to have lunch at Mum and Dad's before setting off for the airport.  When we got there we found that the incoming flight was delayed so we knew we would have to get them there to check in on time but thought we would go to Mandria for a drink and watch the footie to kill time.

Good old Mum and Dad - they accept all visitors with the same friendly welcome and open house even though the dirty stop-outs hadn't got to bed very early after the concert in Tala and a few nightcaps at Ray and Janice's!

Fed and watered we took our visitors to the airport and checked them in and then found a bar in Mandria and watched Chelsea thump Bolton 5-1!

Eventually the time had come to drop them off at departures.  It is the first time we have had to do this with friends but we know that we will be seeing them again so it was just au-revoir and not goodbye.

We hope that they get home safe and sound despite the delay.  We will be back at the airport again on Saturday to pick up Laura and Mark - we are getting old hands at this!!!!!

Final few words for Vix - we are about to settle down to crap TV - X Factor here we come!!!

PS Trevor - I am banned from calling the kitten Martin - it is Chivers or nothing!!
PPS - thanks Mum for the cat bed, scratching post, food bowls and cat litter for Chivers xxx
