So it was back to some sort of normality for us today having said goodbye to Vix and Trev yesterday. We have our next lot of visitors on Saturday so 'Living the Dream' today was more like a nightmare for me as we spent the morning cleaning, washing and ironing! The bonus of washing over here is that things dry pretty quickly and it is so nice to be able to wash bed linen, dry and put straight back on the bed because it hasnt got all creased - so sorry Pamments I am not ironing the bedding just for you two!!
We needed to go into town at some point today to restock the food and drink cupboards and to make sure that we have goodies in for Laura who is a vegetarian (thank god for Halloumi - everyone seems to like Halloumi!).

Apart from a bit of a poorly left eye which Sharon is treating he looks pretty fit and healthy compared to how I found him and he now has a fat little belly. Of course I dont get a look-in as he is clearly John's cat. We have covered over the leather sofa's to protect it from little claws but see how we managed to find a kitten that was colour-coordinated!!
Successful visit over we nipped into town for shopping - stopping at the truckers caravan to share a sandwich and a (free) frappe which was well up to its usual standard.

We really must thank Mum and Dad for giving us the basket, scratching post and feeding bowls. The basket is a HUGE success and he absolutely loves it - that is when he is not on John's lap having his little fat belly rubbed!!
John was absolutely chuffed this afternoon to get a phone call from Steven "Geordie" Wilson telling us that he had been on the signal for Chief Petty Officer. The recognition was well deserved so it is a really big CONGRATULATIONS from John and I to Steven and big love to Catherine, Lauren and Natalie (Steven's wife and two children).
Very strange to be watching The Chase without Trev and Vix tonight... BTW Vix it is 7.00pm and 24 degrees in and 19 degrees out!
getting proper chilly at night now !!!
