More Rain...

We woke to yet another very wet day.  What looks like snow on the Troodos mountains is in fact low lying cloud.  In the main it was wet today - so wet that John is contemplating having to pump out the swimming pool - but we did have a little sunshine around lunch time and Chivers ventured out for about a mili-second and then came racing back in - he is a fair weather cat, as is Minnie-Mou who sooooo wanted to go out and then changed her mind!!!

I cant believe that this time last week I was swimming in the sea - the swing in temperature is about 15 degrees at least - how mad is that???  It just means that John and I have to find things to do indoors rather than tackle the jobs that still remain outside.  We could have four months of this and apparently January and February are the worst months!  Still at least we know that the summer will be fair and settled once we get over the rain.

John decided to clean and relay the gas fire to get it burning to the max!  I chose to have pebbles rather than coals and John is unconvinced.  This was the first time that the children had heard a hoover (doesnt say much about my cleaning I know) but they were very unimpressed and spent the time hiding under the dining room table looking very very sorry for themselves.

I decided to spend my time making a few Christmas cards.  Although we have decided to send an electronic card where we can (and we have found a brilliant site on the internet for creating one) and then make a donation to charity, there are some friends and family to whom we will still send a card so dont look too closely or you may have a sneak preview of your card!!!  And Vix if you are reading this, it will remind you of the day we spent at Bower Hinton Village Hall on a Christmas card painting course!!!

It's another snuggly night and the cats are loving the gas fire (newly cleaned out of course!) We hope they realise how lucky they have been to be rescued and homed by us!!!

  2. Just what I said to my other half - these cats don't realise how lucky they are. They are the cutest cats ever.
