We were having a day at home today save for a mercy dash down to Paps in Polis at some point to see whether or not there were any fresh pigs' livers which is Minnie and Boo's preferred comestible - our stocks are getting low and the off-cuts (when we have prepared the livers for freezing) can be given to Little Dog and her pup.  John refers to Little Dog as Honey - I have told him not to give her a name otherwise the emotional attachment will get even greater.

It was a dry day so John wanted to get on with panelling the second wall in the conservatory.  This was not going to be quite so straightforward because he has to accommodate two sockets but it is a straight-ish run otherwise.

I was on Part IV Staining duties but today I had been furnished with some gloves so hopefully I would avoid getting nails that looked like I had been pickling walnuts.  We use something called Creocote - which looks and smells exactly like creosote which has been universally banned for being carcinogenic - I think this is why I have been allocated this task!!!

We managed to get three-quarters of the wall completed before John ran out of the right sized screws and we needed to shoot off to Polis for the liver-search.  It is looking lovely and its a good job we like wood but then John has said we can change the colour in due course if we feel we want to.  I am thinking a sort of heritage sage green - John is thinking I am a nutter.

Before going to Polis John disappeared - poor man I have charged him with organising my birthday celebrations but I am finding it very, very difficult not to get involved because when it comes to party organisation I am a total control freak and will leave nothing to chance.  John has been asking me all sorts of questions asking for ideas and I would say seeking confirmation without actually seeking confirmation.  He has had to get to grips with boards on Pinterest which, for the uninitiated, means creating 'mood' boards of ideas, colours etc etc using the tintyweb which I have done with the hopes that he gets the same 'vision' as me - time will tell but he has been very secretive and periodically consults his phone with a pained expression on his face bless him.

We did not need a huge amount down at Paps - we are not sure why but there are some huge gaps in the shelves for things which we buy regularly - we are guessing bad weather and corona-virus will be to blame.  On the plus side we managed to go on a day when we got a positive response to our question at the butcher's department " Έχετε συκώτι χοίρου;" (do you have pig's liver) so rather than the usual "όχι αύριο το απόγευμα" (no tomorrow afternoon) we were asked "πόσα? ένα δύο τρία?" (how many? one, two or three?) RESULT we opted for three so that Honey and baby Honey would get a good meal for next to no money.
