New restrictions have been imposed today - they were announced this afternoon and we believe that they will be a precursor to a tighter lockdown like we had back in March. Currently it is Masks everywhere and a curfew from 11pm until 5am - neither of which bother us too much and neither will lockdown if it is imposed again.
Today we were meeting up with John's cousin Karen and her partner Dip and we had plumped on Oniros because although they knew where it was neither of them had been before. The spot is spectacular and over the years so much work has been done to the venue to make it a real go-to destination for locals and visitors alike.
You can see from this photograph how dry it is everywhere - we have had such a long hot summer (once it got going). We arrived in good time and, not being bothered where we sat, got a nice table in the shade.
I had thought I had my dental appointment today at 11.30am but they rang and said it was at 4.00pm which was fine and left us with plenty of time to catch up and have something to eat. Karen and Dip arrived shortly after us and both were really impressed by the venue.
Due to the restrictions we had to use a barcode reader to access the menus on our phones which was fine but a bit difficult to peruse all the options and decide what to have.
John and I thought that the menu was just trying a bit too hard as there were all sorts of ingredients that I had to look up on tintyweb and I think we would consider ourselves to be quite au fait with food.Three of us opted for the Black Angus burger and John went for a pizza. The burgers were very nice but the chips a bit underwhelming. John's pizza wasn't overly impressive either but meeting up with Dip and Karen was great and Karen is kindly taking my family Christmas cards back with her.
Just a check up for me with Dr Harris today but a filling and clean in two weeks' time. He did at least take time to show me where I have a little hole in one of my molars and provided me with a handful of small brushes so that I can get between two big teeth where my normal brush fails.
