Amazing Skies

The current unsettled weather has been treating us to some spectacular skies.  Today we decided to pop down to the Winery to stock up for Christmas and as we did the sun was doing its best to break through the clouds and was reflecting off of the sea.  The Winery is open and offering meals so we decided that we would stop and have something to eat as they were so pleased to see us.

We had donned our Christmas jumpers to try and get into a bit more of a festive mood.  There was no-one else in the Winery save for the staff who thought we were bonkers!!!  I said to John I would drive and we always have a stopper in the car or my handbag so John ordered a bottle of his favourite tipple and perused the menu.

John plumped for the chicken skewers and I had chicken wraps - it was lovely actually and even more so because it meant I didn't have to cook anything this evening although to be fair I do need to make some room in the freezer for anything extra we might buy for Christmas.

We were kept company by the resident Winery dog who is beautiful and just sits and watches you but doesn't beg or anything and was so good that John went to the car and got him a dog chew which he ate very carefully.  He is a Heinz 57 mix dog with a big head and body and little Queen Anne legs!!

We returned home to put our rugs down around the house as the tiled floors are now feeling just a bit cool on your feet, particularly at night when you nip out to go to the loo.  We wanted to get them down and unfurled so that they wouldn't be a trip hazard when Mum comes at the weekend.

I end with a picture of the sunset today - this looks promising that the weather for tomorrow will be good - I have big plans for tomorrow but it does need to be dry and warm !!
