A walk followed by one of my favourite suppers!

Narky Nora had a right old hissy fit today which was probably my fault because I set off on my walk with Nicky in the opposite direction to what I had planned.  After half a dozen remonstrations by Nora - telling us to turn right, so I turned left, she got a right old monk on and refused to play at all - in fact she stopped even showing the map!!!

It all started out well as we walked down through the back streets of Kato Arodes which allowed me to get a good look at an old house which someone is in the process of doing up.  It looks nothing from the front but if you go round the back the small garden has been given a makeover and there is a fabulous patio area with a pergola hewn out of massive tree trunks.  It really looks lovely.

We had walked almost half of the planned route, albeit in the wrong direction, when Nora greeted us with her stony silence and we made a decision that we could just do an about turn and go back to the start and we would cover the distance so that is what we did more or less and it was a good idea because in an around the back streets there was quite a bit of shade on what was the hottest day of the year so far.

John was walking with Liselotte and they had a tough old trek down from Droushia to Androlikou and back.  On his return I cleared the burrs and seeds from his socks and we completed cutting down the bush in the front garden which had gone out of control - it was really to hot to do anything else so we jumped in the pool for a cool down and then sat in the Do-Jo to dry off before having tea which was down to be brie and bacon salad but I had some halloumi left over so that is what we had.

We took advantage of the beautiful evening by sitting up on the roof terrace until the sun went down.  We were treated to a fly past of two jets on manoeuvers which were loud and fast but didn't bother us for long.  We were joined by Charlie and Boris who didn't take a lot of notice of the planes - they have heard it all before.
